Who Can Take Part?
The Mull Grand Traverse is an event for people of all abilities.

Because the event has four finishes, Bronze, Silver and Gold and Platinum, people of varying experience in the outdoors can challenge themselves:

  • The Bronze Route which finishes at the Aros checkpoint involves a 39km cycle.
  • The Silver Route which finishes at the Glen More checkpoint involves the entire Bronze Route plus an extra 21km hike.
  • The Gold Route which finishes at the Lochbuie checkpoint involves the entire Silver route plus an extra 11km hike.
  • The Platinum Route which finishes at Pennyghael involves the entire Gold Route plus an extra 15km hike.

A progressive training program prior to the event will be important. This should include both walking/running and cycling.
